If your load is lighter, stepping down to the SCD80 bore drops the force to 2268 N at the same pressure, which may allow a smaller footprint and lower air consumption. For heavier demands, the SCD125 provides 5734 N. Remember that a double-rod cylinder provides better guidance than a single-rod SC series, but it is not a guided cylinder; at a 550 mm stroke, ensure the rod is not subjected to significant side load. If the load is off-centre, pair the cylinder with an external linear guide or switch to a dedicated guided cylinder to prevent rod bending and premature seal wear.

For a drop-in replacement, match the 100 mm bore, 550 mm stroke, PT port thread, and the specific SCD mounting style.
