The AirTAC Airtac 3V1 Solenoid Valve 3V106FI2F is a genuine 3-port 2-position (3/2) solenoid valve with 1/8 in ports. It either feeds its outlet or vents it to exhaust, which is what makes it the valve for single-acting cylinders, on/off air blow, clamping, vacuum switching and pilot duty.
The 3V106FI2F is a ready-built two-station manifold of AirTAC 3V1 valves: two independent 3/2-way, direct-acting, spring-return bodies sharing one PT1/8 base, each with its own 2.5 W DC12V coil and flying-lead entry. Each station feeds or vents its own line, so you can clamp one circuit while the second blows off or pilots another.
Ganging valves in series is the 3V1 family's space trick: AirTAC assembles 1 to 20 stations on a common base, and two stations here replace two separate valves, two sets of fittings and the interconnecting pipework. With only 2.5 W per coil, even a modest 12 V supply carries both stations with room to spare.

Figures follow the official AirTAC 3V1 catalogue. Confirm coil voltage and thread (PT / NPT / G) against the product label before wiring.
| 3V1 | Body — sets the flow, the coil power and whether vacuum is rated. |
|---|---|
| 1/8 in | Port size. M5, 06 = 1/8 in, 08 = 1/4 in, 10 = 3/8 in. |
| DC12V | Coil voltage. A = AC220V, B = DC24V, C = AC110V, E = AC24V, F = DC12V. |
| I | Electrical entry: I = flying lead, otherwise a DIN plug. |
| 2F | 2 stations in one assembly. |
| PT | Port thread. PT ships from stock; G and NPT are available to order. |
A 3/2 valve has three ports — supply, outlet and exhaust — and two states. It either feeds the outlet or vents it to exhaust, and that is the whole job.
That makes it the right valve for a single-acting (spring-return) cylinder, on/off air blow, a clamp, switching a vacuum generator or suction cup, and piloting a larger valve.
It cannot run a double-acting cylinder. A double-acting cylinder needs air alternately on two sides, which takes a 5-port valve — the AirTAC 4V series.
Two stations on one manifold feed the clamp and the indexing cylinder of a compact rotary fixture from a single shared 12 V supply.
One station blows the rejected pack off the belt while its neighbour trips the diverter gate, both wired independently yet mounted as one unit.
Each manifold station fires a swing clamp on a robotic welding jig, holding the part only for the exact duration of the weld cycle.
Two stations on one base change the sizing question: check the flow each station needs and treat the manifold as one unit. AirTAC publishes no Cv for the 3V1 body, so confirm flow-sensitive circuits with us before committing. If a station later needs more flow, a 3V2 (1/8in-1/4in, NC or NO selectable, Cv 0.18-0.19, vacuum rated) or a 3V3 (1/4in, Cv 0.62) replaces it, and 3V2M is the pick when manifold density beats raw flow. A double-acting cylinder calls for the 5-port AirTAC 4V series instead.
Pin down five things when ordering: port (this assembly is 1/8in; M5 exists in the range), thread - PT is standard here, G and NPT are order options - coil voltage (DC12V, 2.5 W per coil), entry style (flying lead on this code, DIN plug otherwise) and how many stations the manifold should be built to, anywhere from 1 to 20.
Confirm before you order
Each station is a 3/2 direct-acting, spring-return valve rated 0-0.8 MPa (0-114 psi) across -20 to 70 C, protected to IP65 (DIN 40050). Every DC12V coil draws 2.5 W, so a two-station base presents roughly a 5 W electrical load; family alternatives are AC220V and AC110V at 4.5 VA, AC24V at 5.0 VA and DC24V at 3.0 W. No Cv or effective area is published for 3V1.
The 3V1 manifold concept runs from 1 to 20 stations on a shared base, so a later machine revision can move to a longer assembly - order it as a new complete code such as 3V106FI4F or 3V106FI6F. Mounting and sealing accessories (3V1-P30 connecting-screw base set, 3V1-P31 O-rings and long screws, 3V1-P32 bracket set) support the installation.
