About the Airtac BFR Air Filter Regulator BFR2000MLNT

The BFR2000MLNT is an AirTAC compact B-line filter regulator: a single body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and then lets you set downstream pressure. This configuration is the larger B-line body with 1/4 in NPT ports, the standard 40 um filter element, a manual drain you open yourself to empty the PC bowl, and the low-pressure type, which limits regulated output to a maximum of 0.4 MPa for circuits that must not be over-pressurised. The N suffix means no pressure gauge is fitted; the push-to-lock self-locking knob holds your set point. This is a genuine AirTAC part from the compact A/B line. The B-line body is also available in 1500 (1/8 in), 3000 (3/8 in) and 4000 (1/2 in) sizes, with PT as the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT to order. Flow and datasheet figures are not published as a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm them for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC A/B-line air-preparation data. Drain type, filter grade, gauge and low-pressure options are set by the model-code suffix - see the description. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we confirm from the factory datasheet.

How to choose

Choose B-line (as here, 1/4 in NPT) when your line needs the larger compact body; the A-line covers 1/8 to 1/2 in with a smaller profile. For drainage you can keep the default differential-pressure plus manual arrangement, step up to automatic drain (A), or select manual drain (M) as this code does. Filter grade is 40 um as standard or 5 um with W if you need finer particle removal. This unit is the low-pressure (L) type, capped at 0.4 MPa output; pick the standard type if you need the full 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) regulation range. Gauge and scale options, and PT vs G/NPT threads, are separate decodable choices. Because flow is not a single rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your air demand before ordering.

Applications

factory

Packaging machine air cylinders

Feeds clean, pressure-limited air to the pick-and-place and carton-closing cylinders on a packaging line, where the 0.4 MPa low-pressure ceiling protects the actuators and seals.

air

Low-pressure air jigs and clamps

Supplies filtered air to pneumatic clamping fixtures on a machining cell, holding the circuit at a gentle set pressure so delicate workpieces are held without crushing.

handyman

Workshop air drop for hand tools

Serves a bench-mounted air drop at a maintenance workshop, filtering condensate and debris out of the shop supply and letting the technician dial in pressure for blow-off and small tools.

FAQ

What is the flow rating of the BFR2000MLNT?

AirTAC does not publish flow as a single rated figure for this series, and we will not guess one. The datasheet gives flow characteristics for the 2000 body; contact us and we will confirm the flow data for your sizing on request.

Why does this unit have a manual drain and no gauge?

The M in the code selects a manual drain: you open it yourself to empty accumulated water from the PC bowl instead of relying on the default differential-pressure drain. The N means no pressure gauge is fitted, so add a gauge (with an MPa, psi, bar or kgf/cm2 scale) at order time if you want a pressure readout.
