The AirTAC AirTAC GF200-08 Filter (GF20008JW) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 5 µm element, with PT1/4" ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The AirTAC GF20008JW is a G-series air filter that removes water and fine particulate from compressed air. It is filtration only - no pressure regulation and no lubrication. This size 200 configuration has a PT1/4 port (1/4 inch, PT thread as standard), the W suffix 5 um fine filter element for cleaner outlet air than the standard 40 um grade, the default differential-pressure drain, and no mounting bracket (J suffix). The PC (polycarbonate) bowl suits general plant air service.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the G series, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with 40 um standard elements, bracket-included versions, automatic or manual drains, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads among the options. Published flow data appears as curves rather than a single rating, so contact us and we will confirm the flow figures and full datasheet on request.
| Model | AirTAC GF200-08 Filter (GF20008JW) |
|---|---|
| Series | GF200 air filter |
| Port size | PT1/4" (PT thread) |
| Filtering grade | 5 µm |
| Drain type | Differential-pressure drain |
| Bracket | Supplied without bracket |
| Fluid | Compressed air |
|---|---|
| Inlet pressure | 0.15 - 1.0 MPa (22 - 145 psi) |
| Max. working pressure | 1.0 MPa (145 psi) |
| Temperature range | -5 to +70 °C (unfreeze) |
| Bowl material | PC |
| Feature | Low pressure loss |
Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF200 | G-series air filter, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| J | Supplied without bracket. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Fitted on the compressed air line feeding pneumatic components of laboratory analysers and samplers, where the 5 um fine element keeps fine particulate out of delicate valve internals.
Installed in the air feed to plasma cutting and engraving equipment, filtering water and fine particles from the supply before it reaches the torch gas circuit.
Used on branch lines supplying pneumatic spray and finishing equipment, where the 5 um element supports a cleaner air supply to the gun circuit at the point of use.
Size 200 with a 1/4 inch PT port is the smallest step in the G series; step up to sizes 300, 400 or 600 for larger ports and more flow. This model's W suffix specifies the 5 um fine element - choose it where downstream instruments, sensors or valves need finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade. The J suffix means no mounting bracket. Drain choices are the default differential-pressure drain, automatic (A) or manual (M). Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available as ordered options.
Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so please ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
Flow for the GF20008JW is published by AirTAC as curves rather than a single rated figure, so no one-number rating can honestly be stated. Share your application details and we will confirm the flow figures and datasheet on request before you order.
The W suffix on this filter specifies a 5 um fine element, which captures finer particles than the 40 um standard grade fitted to the base GF20008. It is the right choice for instruments, plasma equipment and finishing tools that need cleaner air; general factory air prep is usually served by the 40 um grade.
