The AirTAC AirTAC GF200-08 Filter (GF20008MJ) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with PT1/4" ports and a manual drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF20008MJ is an AirTAC G-series air filter in size 200 with a 1/4 in PT port. It removes water and particulate from compressed air only - there is no pressure regulation and no lubrication. This configuration carries a manual drain, so condensate collected in the bowl is released by hand, and the standard 40 um filter element. The size 200 bowl is polycarbonate (PC), and code J means no mounting bracket is supplied. Maximum inlet pressure with the manual drain is 0.9 MPa; working temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G-series filter family runs from size 200 to 600, with larger ports and greater flow capacity at each step, and is available with differential-pressure (default), automatic or manual drains, a 5 um element (code W), G (BSPP) or NPT threads as catalogue options, and with or without a bracket. Flow and datasheet figures are confirmed on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF200 | G-series air filter, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| J | Supplied without bracket. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Install at the point of use on a machining center's tool-changer and clamp circuit to strip water and chips-laden particulate before the directional valves; the manual drain is opened at shift start.
Fit upstream of the cylinders and grippers on a carton-forming packaging line so condensate and pipe scale are kept out of the 1/4 in valve manifold feeding the motion axes.
Mount as the first element on a bench drop in an assembly cell, protecting air guns, clamps and small actuators from rust and water carried in the plant ring main.
Use the size digits (200/300/400/600) to step port size and flow path up or down; this size 200 unit carries a 1/4 in PT port. Choose the drain type: manual (this model - condensate is hand-released, inlet 0-0.9 MPa), automatic for unattended draining, or the default differential-pressure type. Element grade is 40 um standard; add W for the 5 um element where finer filtration is needed. PT is the standard thread; G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue thread options to order. Code J omits the mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure - ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes flow for the G-series filters as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow data from the datasheet on request before you order.
A manual drain means you release condensate by hand, which suits points of use that are checked regularly; the inlet limit for this version is 0.9 MPa. If the unit runs unattended, choose the automatic drain, or the default differential-pressure type - both are orderable in the same size 200, 1/4 in port configuration.
