The AirTAC AirTAC GF300-08 Filter (GF30008AJ) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with PT1/4" ports and a automatic drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The AirTAC GF30008AJ is a G-series compressed-air filter that removes water and particulate only - no regulation, no lubrication. It is a size 300 unit with a 1/4 in PT port, a 40 um standard element and an automatic drain, and the J in the code means the mounting bracket is omitted, so it is meant for in-line or panel-integrated mounting where a bracket is not wanted. The polycarbonate bowl is standard for this non-600 size; working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) over a -5 to 70 C range.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The same size 300 family is available in 200/300/400/600 sizes, with bracket included or omitted, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, a 5 um W element option, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads as alternatives to PT. Flow is published only as curves, so we will confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.
| Model | AirTAC GF300-08 Filter (GF30008AJ) |

| Port size | PT1/4" (PT thread) |
| Filtering grade | 40 µm |
| Drain type | Automatic drain |
| Bracket | Supplied without bracket |
| Fluid | Compressed air |
|---|---|
| Inlet pressure | 0.15 - 1.0 MPa (22 - 145 psi) |
| Max. working pressure | 1.0 MPa (145 psi) |
| Temperature range | -5 to +70 °C (unfreeze) |
| Bowl material | PC |
| Feature | Low pressure loss |
Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF300 | G-series air filter, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| J | Supplied without bracket. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Mounted directly on the valve manifold of a six-axis robot cell, the bracketless in-line body saves panel space while the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the gripper circuits during unattended production.
Installed in the air lines serving commercial-trailer brake-test and door-cylinder rigs in a fleet workshop, it filters shop compressed air, with the automatic drain emptying the bowl between vehicle test cycles.
Fitted on the supply side of a laboratory pneumatic test bench, it removes water and particulate from the air feeding pressure-test fixtures, keeping the bench air clean without a technician stopping to drain the bowl.
This code differs from GF30008A only in the bracket: J means no bracket is supplied, which suits builders who already panel-mount or clamp the body in line. Keep the size 300 / 1/4 in PT choice matched to your pipe and air demand - we can check the flow curves if you are between sizes 300 and 400. Drain is automatic here; manual and differential-pressure variants exist if you prefer operator control or the catalogue default.
Element grade is the standard 40 um; order the W suffix version for 5 um. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as orderable options. As with the whole series, flow is published as curves rather than a single rating - ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC does not publish a single rated-flow number for the GF filters - flow is given as performance curves only. Share your operating pressure and required air consumption and we will confirm the flow data from the datasheet for this model on request.
J means the mounting bracket is omitted, so the GF30008AJ is supplied for in-line or panel-integrated mounting instead of bracketed installation. Everything else matches the standard decode: size 300, 1/4 in PT port, 40 um element, automatic drain, and -5 to 70 C operation.
