The AirTAC AirTAC GF300-08 Filter (GF30008J) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with PT1/4" ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The AirTAC GF30008J is a G-series compressed-air filter only: it strips water and particulate from the line - no regulation, no lubrication. This configuration carries the standard 40 um element, the default differential-pressure drain, and the J code means no mounting bracket is supplied, so the unit is plumbed in-line or fixed by other means. The 300 size with PT1/4 (PT thread) port fits 1/4-inch branch lines; the polycarbonate bowl gives a clear view of condensate. Maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), temperature -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GF series runs from 200 to 600 size, with 5 um optional filtration, automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, and G/NPT thread options. Flow is published as curves rather than one rated figure; we confirm datasheet and flow figures on request.

| Inlet pressure | 0.15 - 1.0 MPa (22 - 145 psi) |

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF300 | G-series air filter, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| J | Supplied without bracket. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

In-line filtration at 1/4-inch take-offs from a factory air main, protecting downstream tools and fittings from rust scale and condensed water carried in from the compressor room.
Mounted inside or beside a control cabinet where a bracket is unnecessary because the unit hangs on the piping itself, filtering air feeding cabinet pneumatics and small actuators.
Service-point filtration on vehicle maintenance bays, cleaning the shop air used with impact drivers and inflation tools before it reaches the vehicle's own pneumatics.
Pick the 300/1/4-inch step when your branch line and air demand sit in the mid-small range - larger sizes carry larger ports and more flow. The blank drain here is differential-pressure, AirTAC's default; specify M for manual or A for automatic if the installation cannot rely on pressure differential to spill condensate. The standard blank element is 40 um; add W for 5 um. J removes the bracket for panel or in-line mounting where a bracket would be in the way. Thread is PT as the standard, with G and NPT as catalogue options. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GF series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not state a figure here. Tell us your working pressure and required air demand and we will confirm the flow figures from the datasheet on request.
J is the no-bracket code: the unit is supplied without a mounting bracket, for in-line or self-supported installation. The same filter with a bracket included simply drops the J from the code.
