The AirTAC AirTAC GF300-08 Filter (GF30008MJ) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with PT1/4" ports and a manual drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The GF30008MJ is an AirTAC G-series air filter: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and does not regulate pressure or add oil. This unit is built in the 300 size with a 1/4 in PT port, carries the standard 40 um element, and has a manual drain, so an operator bleeds accumulated condensate from the polycarbonate bowl by hand. The J code means no mounting bracket is fitted. Because the drain is manual, the working inlet range for this configuration is 0-0.9 MPa.
This is a genuine AirTAC part, not an imitation. The GF family spans 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration, manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, and PT as the standard thread with G (BSPP) and NPT as catalogue options. AirTAC publishes flow as performance curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF300 | G-series air filter, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| J | Supplied without bracket. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Fitted at the drop of a bench air line, it strips water and pipe scale before they reach the riveter's trigger valve and cylinder, and the manual drain lets an operator bleed off accumulated condensate at the end of each shift.
On a 1/4 in take-off at a garage wall point, it keeps rust particles and condensate out of the inflation gauge and chuck. The 40 um element suits general workshop air, and the manual drain is emptied during routine checks.
Placed ahead of the solenoid valves driving a semi-automatic carton-taping table, it removes moisture and debris that would otherwise cause valve sticking, with the manual drain bled during end-of-day clean-down.
The 300 size sits mid-range in the GF family with a 1/4 in PT port; step down to 200 or up to 400/600 if your line porting or air demand calls for it. Drain choices are manual, automatic or differential-pressure - this is the manual version, rated 0-0.9 MPa inlet, best where an operator is present at shift end to bleed the bowl. Filtration here is the standard 40 um element; the W-suffix variant gives 5 um. PT thread is standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available as catalogue options, and this J-coded unit omits the optional mounting bracket.
Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against the datasheet curves before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes GF-series flow as performance curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request.
The M code fits a manual drain valve, so an operator opens it to bleed accumulated water from the bowl. In this manual-drain configuration the working inlet range is 0-0.9 MPa; automatic and differential-pressure drain versions are rated to 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
