The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400C15LC2TK Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15LC2TK is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 unit has a 1/2 in NPT port, a 40 um filtration element and a differential-pressure drain. The L in the code selects the low-pressure regulator type, the C2 code fits a round external gauge reading in psi, and a reverse (check) valve is fitted. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. The bowl on this 400 size is PC (polycarbonate), and a mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and options include automatic or manual drains, a 5 um element (code W), embedded square gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to the clamping cylinders on a machining fixture, where the 40 um element protects the clamping valves and the regulator holds a low-pressure setting for the workholding sequence.
Supplying positioners and pilot solenoids on a process valve manifold that needs clean air regulated to a low setpoint, with the round psi gauge giving a local pressure readout at the panel.
Regulating air to pick-and-place cylinders and product diverters on a packaging conveyor, with the differential-pressure drain collecting condensate in the PC bowl during continuous shifts.
Size and port: the 400 size steps up port and flow capacity from the 200 and 300 units; this code specifies a 1/2 in NPT port. Match the size to the air demand of your line - we can check the published flow curves against your requirement before you order. Drain: this unit uses the differential-pressure drain; automatic (A) and manual (M) versions exist in the series if your installation prefers them. Filter grade: 40 um is fitted here; specify W for the 5 um element where finer particulate removal matters. Gauge: the C2 code gives a round external gauge with a psi scale; embedded square gauges and MPa or bar scales are the alternatives. Thread: PT is the AirTAC standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options - this code specifies NPT. Regulator: the L code selects the low-pressure type; its exact adjustment range is not published, so confirm it with us. A bracket is included. GFR combines filtration and regulation only - add a separate lubricator, or step up to a GFC two-unit or GC three-unit set, if your circuit also needs oil mist.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us the air demand of your circuit and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
This code uses the differential-pressure drain, the default for the GFR family. Automatic (A) and manual (M) drain versions are available in the same series if your installation calls for them.
