About the Airtac MARU Stainless Steel Mini Cylinder MARU20X130S
Double-acting with a variable cushion at both ends, the MARU20X130S packs its own top (U) mounting bracket into the body, so there is no separate flange to order or align. From a 20 mm stainless barrel it delivers 157 N of push and 131.9 N of pull at 0.5 MPa over a 130 mm stroke, running on 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) air at 30-800 mm/s.
The round stainless tube and hard-chrome plated 8 mm rod shrug off washdown and damp shop air where painted mini cylinders corrode, and the aluminium covers are riveted on for a sealed body. An adjustable cushion at each end lets you tune out end-of-stroke shock, and the standard built-in magnet accepts CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches. Plan real work around 94 N (0.6 x 157 N) at 0.5 MPa and this actuator will hold that output all shift.

Bore 20 is the smallest in the MAR range, so sizing means stepping up rather than down: the next bore, 25 mm, gives 245.3 N push at 0.5 MPa if your load outgrows 157 N. At 130 mm of stroke keep the 8 mm rod clear of side loads - guide the part externally or the rod will bend over time.
