This symmetry makes it ideal for applications where a rear rod extension carries a secondary tool, a stopper bolt, or an external sensor flag, and the through-rod design provides better bearing support than a single-rod cylinder of the same bore.

With a 300 mm stroke and a body length A(SCD) of 352 mm, this tie-rod cylinder includes an adjustable air cushion (29 mm) at each end to decelerate the piston smoothly. If you can accept a lower force, the SCD125 bore provides 5734 N at the same pressure and reduces air consumption, while stepping up to the SCD200 bore raises the force to 15080 N. Because this is a 300 mm stroke, ensure the unsupported rod length is managed—a double-rod cylinder offers more guidance than a single rod, but it is not a substitute for a properly guided cylinder under real side load; consider an external guide rail if the load is not purely axial.

For a direct replacement, match the 160 mm bore, 300 mm stroke, PT3/4 port thread, basic mounting, and the -S magnet option. If your task only requires force at one end, the single-rod SC series may be a simpler choice, but you would lose the rear rod access and the perfectly balanced push-pull force this SCD model provides.
