The AirTAC GFR300C08AF3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR300C08AF3WT is an AirTAC GFR300 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds the downstream pressure at your setpoint in one compact body. This configuration has a 1/4 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (code W), an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, and a standard regulator adjustable from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). A square pressure gauge graduated in bar is fitted, a mounting bracket is included, and the 300 size carries a polycarbonate bowl. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in four sizes (200, 300, 400 and 600) with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge scale options, and PT, G or NPT threads to order. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed ahead of a CNC machine tool's pneumatic valve stack, it strips water and fine particulate down to 5 um and holds the supply pressure the machine builder specified, protecting tool-change cylinders and workpiece clamps.
Mounted at the drop feeding carton-sealing and case-packing cylinders on a packaging conveyor line, it keeps regulated pressure steady through shift changes so jaw timing and box clamping stay repeatable.
Feeding analytical instruments and sample-handling actuators on a lab air system, the 5 um element and steady regulated output give cleaner, more stable air than a raw plant-ring drop alone.
Size and port step up together across the GFR range: 200, 300, 400 and 600 cover 1/8 in through 1 in, so pick the size whose flow curve covers your demand at your working pressure. Drain type is a real choice: differential-pressure (the default) drains only while air is flowing, automatic drains without attention, and manual needs someone to open the drain - this unit is automatic. Filtration is 40 um standard or 5 um with the W code; this unit carries the 5 um element, the usual pick ahead of precision valves, cylinders and pneumatic instrumentation. Gauges can be specified with MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT is the standard thread with G and NPT as order options - this unit is NPT. Brackets are included unless J is specified. Because AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than a single rating, send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one number we can honestly quote. Tell us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
The W code fits a 5 um element instead of the 40 um standard, which suits precision valves, cylinders and instrumentation downstream. The A code makes the drain automatic, so collected condensate is expelled without anyone opening a manual drain; differential-pressure (the default) and manual drains are available on other codes in the series.
