GFR300C15MC3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2

The AirTAC GFR300C15MC3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR300C15MC3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2

The GFR300C15MC3TK is an AirTAC GFR300 filter regulator: a single body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure. This configuration is built on a 1/2 in NPT port (size 300), with a manual drain under the polycarbonate bowl, the standard 40 um filter element, an external round gauge reading in bar, and a built-in check valve (code K) that holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply drops. A mounting bracket is included.

It is a genuine AirTAC part. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); on this manual-drain version the regulated output is adjustable from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C and the air must be non-freezing. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port, drain, element grade, gauge and thread options; flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

C1Port size See datasheet. This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR300C15MC3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Is Used

factory

Paint-shop air preparation

Filtering and regulating the air feeding spray guns and air-assisted pumps on a finishing line, so coatings are not spoiled by water or dirt carried in the shop-air supply.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line cylinders

Supplying clean, regulated air to the pick-and-place cylinders and product diverters on a cartoning or bottling conveyor, with the built-in check valve holding the downstream setting through brief supply interruptions.

settings_input_component

Machine clamp circuits

Feeding the pneumatic clamps and ejectors on a CNC or assembly fixture, where a stable regulated pressure keeps the tooling cycle consistent shift after shift.

Is the GFR300C15MC3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 the Right Unit?

The real choices in this family are decodable from the code. Step up or down the size (200/300/400/600) to match the port and the flow your line needs - larger sizes carry larger ports. Choose the drain: manual (this unit, code M), automatic (A), or the default differential-pressure type. Choose the element: 40 um standard or 5 um (code W) for finer protection. Gauges: an embedded square gauge is standard and an external round gauge is optional, with MPa, psi or bar scales (this unit: round, bar). Thread is PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options - this unit is NPT. Brackets are optional on GFR and included here. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR300C15MC3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 FAQ

AirTAC publishes GFR300 flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Tell us your inlet pressure, set pressure and required flow and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.

Manual drain means you open the drain at the bottom of the polycarbonate bowl yourself to expel collected water - there is no automatic mechanism. The K code adds a built-in check valve, so downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply drops. On this manual-drain version the regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
