The AirTAC GFR400-15 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2 5um Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
GFR400-15 is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus pressure regulation combined in a single body. This size 400 unit carries a 1/2 in PT port, the 5 um fine filter element (the finer of the two published grades), and an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention. The regulator is the low-pressure type for circuits running below standard working pressures, an embedded square gauge with a psi scale is fitted, a reverse/check valve is installed, and a mounting bracket is included. The polycarbonate bowl suits the standard working range of 1.0 MPa (145 psi) maximum inlet and -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um standard or 5 um fine filtration, and gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar. Because flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rating, we confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds fixture and clamp cylinders on a CNC machining cell, delivering filtered air and holding a steady low set-point pressure so clamping force stays repeatable across the shift.
Sits ahead of spray guns in a paint or coating booth, removing water and fine particles and trimming supply pressure down to the low setting the gun manufacturer calls for.
Prepares air for the cylinders and actuators on a carton-forming or bagging conveyor, with the automatic drain protecting downstream valves from condensate during continuous runs.
The real choices on this family are: size and port (200/300/400/600, ports 1/8 to 1 in) stepped against the flow your line needs; drain type (differential-pressure standard, automatic as fitted here, or manual); filter grade (40 um standard, 5 um as fitted here); gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar); thread (PT standard, with G and NPT as order options); and bracket. This unit is the low-pressure regulator type, so if your circuit runs at ordinary working pressures, ask us to check whether the standard type suits better - the exact adjustment range for the low-pressure type is not published and we confirm it on request. Flow for every size is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your pressure and flow conditions and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure and required flow and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request.
The W code fits the 5 um element instead of the 40 um standard, which suits valves and instruments that tolerate less particulate. The A code fits the automatic drain, so collected condensate is expelled without manual blowdown - useful where the unit is mounted in a less accessible position.
