The AirTAC GFR400C15AJF2K AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15AJF2K is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body, in a 1/2 in PT port size suited to higher-flow supply lines. This configuration carries the 40 um standard filter element, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, a standard regulator with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), an embedded square gauge reading in psi, and a built-in reverse/check valve. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl is standard at this size.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and with choices of drain type, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge scale, thread (PT standard, with G and NPT as order options) and bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air to the gate and diverter cylinders that route bottles between lanes, with the automatic drain clearing condensate through long production runs and the check valve holding the gate position during an air outage.
Filtering and regulating the supply to fixture clamps so the set pressure stays repeatable cycle after cycle, while the 40 um element protects clamp valves from rust and pipe scale in the plant air main.
A regulated, filtered feed to the machine's directional-valve manifold, with the psi square gauge giving the setter a direct readout at the machine and the automatic drain keeping free water out of the valve stack.
Start with the size and port: the 400 series with its 1/2 in PT port serves larger supply lines, and the right step depends on the flow your line needs - because flow is published as curves and not as a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering. Then settle the decodable choices: automatic drain (as on this unit) versus manual or differential-pressure drain; 40 um standard filtration versus the 5 um W option; gauge scale in MPa, psi or bar; PT as the standard thread with G and NPT as order options; and whether a mounting bracket is required (this code specifies no bracket). The fitted reverse/check valve holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply is interrupted.
This unit filters and regulates only - it does not lubricate. If your circuit also needs oil mist downstream, pair it with a separate lubricator or step up to a GFC two-unit or GC three-unit set.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Tell us your line pressure and the flow your application needs and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The A in the code specifies an automatic drain, which expels collected condensate by itself - useful where the unit is mounted in a hard-to-reach spot or runs unattended. The family also offers a manual drain and a differential-pressure drain as decodable options, and the 40 um element on this unit can be swapped for the 5 um W grade if finer filtration is needed.
