The AirTAC GFR400C15C3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400C15C3WT is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus downstream pressure regulation in a single body, with no lubricator. This configuration is sized 400 with a 1/2 in NPT port, carries the fine 5 um filter element (code W instead of the standard 40 um), drains condensate by the differential-pressure method, and is fitted with a round pressure gauge reading in bar. The standard regulator adjusts outlet pressure within 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the unit works from -5 to 70 C in non-freezing conditions. A mounting bracket is included, and no reverse/check valve is fitted.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, G, NPT or PT threads, and bracket options. Flow is published by AirTAC as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to pneumatic clamps and fixtures on a machining cell, where chips and condensate upstream would otherwise work into the clamp cylinders and the clamp pressure must hold at a set value.
Conditioning the supply branch that runs carton closers, wrap arms and pick-and-place cylinders on a packaging line, keeping water and line-scale particles out of the valves while holding a stable working pressure.
Cleaning and regulating shop air before it reaches a plasma cutting table, where moisture and fine dirt in the air stream degrade cut quality and torch consumable life and the torch maker specifies a set inlet pressure.
Start with the size and port: 400 is one of the larger GFR frames, and the 1/2 in port here should be stepped up or down against the air demand of the circuit - the flow curves, not a single rating, are the honest basis for that check, so let us confirm sizing before you order. Then pick the drain: differential-pressure (as fitted here) dumps condensate automatically only while flow is passing, automatic drains regardless of flow, and manual needs someone to press the button. Choose 40 um for general protection or 5 um (this unit) for finer downstream cleanliness. Gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar - bar here), thread (PT standard, G and NPT as order options - NPT here), bracket and reverse/check valve complete the decode. We will confirm flow against your application on request before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number for this unit. Tell us your application and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures against it on request before you order.
The W in the code selects the optional 5 um filter grade; the GFR standard is 40 um. The 5 um element is the choice when the downstream equipment - fine valves, plasma torches, instrumentation - needs cleaner air than general-purpose protection. This unit is supplied with the 5 um element fitted.
