GFR400C15F2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, psi Gauge

The AirTAC GFR400C15F2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, psi Gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR400C15F2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, psi Gauge

The GFR400C15F2 is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint in one body. This configuration has PT1/2 ports, a 40 um filter element, a differential-pressure drain (the default drain type), and a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). The regulator sets between 0.15 and 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), the polycarbonate bowl is rated for -5 to 70 C (non-freezing) service, and a square gauge reading in psi is fitted. No reverse (check) valve is fitted, and the mounting bracket is included.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G (BSPP) or NPT as order options, plus a choice of drain type, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, and gauge scale. We confirm flow and other datasheet figures on request, since flow for this family is published as curves rather than a single rating.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR400C15F2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, psi Gauge Is Used

valve

Pneumatic valve stations

Conditioning the supply air feeding directional control valves and cylinders on an automated packaging line, where filtered air held at a steady setpoint keeps actuation consistent shift after shift.

factory

Air-tool supply at assembly cells

A filter regulator ahead of impact wrenches and nutrunners in an assembly shop, setting line pressure to the tool specification while straining rust and pipe scale out of the shop air main.

build

Fixture clamping circuits

Filtering and regulating the air feeding clamping cylinders on CNC machining fixtures, where a stable pressure setpoint supports consistent clamp force and the 40 um element screens scale and pipe debris.

Is the GFR400C15F2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, psi Gauge the Right Unit?

Size and port step up with flow demand: this unit is size 400 with PT1/2 ports, while smaller 200/300 sizes suit lighter duty and size 600 carries larger ports. Drain choice is differential-pressure here; automatic (A) and manual (M) are the alternatives. Filtration is the standard 40 um element - specify W for 5 um when finer particulate capture matters. The fitted square gauge reads in psi; MPa and bar scales are the other options. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order, and the mounting bracket is included. Flow for this family is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.

Quick checklist

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR400C15F2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, psi Gauge FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow and other datasheet figures on request before you order.

Differential-pressure drain is the default on GFR filter regulators, and it carries a regulation range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Code A selects an automatic drain and code M a manual drain (manual-drain units set from 0.05 MPa); this model uses the differential-pressure type.
