The AirTAC GFR400C15F2WG AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15F2WG is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is built with a G1/2 (BSPP) port, 5 um filtration for finer particle capture than the standard 40 um element, a differential-pressure drain that bleeds condensate automatically as flow passes through, a polycarbonate bowl, and an embedded square gauge scaled in psi so operators can read and set outlet pressure directly. The standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the unit operates in non-freezing conditions from -5 to 70 C.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and options include automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um filter grades, square or external round gauges scaled in MPa, psi or bar, a reverse/check valve, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use air preparation at a paint booth: the 5 um element keeps fine particles out of the atomising air while the regulator holds a steady gun pressure read on the psi gauge.
Feeding the pneumatic cylinders and stopper gates on a filling and conveyor line, where the differential-pressure drain handles condensate during continuous production runs.
Regulated, filtered supply to the clamping and tool-change circuits of a CNC machining centre, with the psi gauge letting the setter verify clamp pressure at the machine.
Choose the size and port step (200 through 600, 1/8 to 1 inch) against the air consumption of the circuit it feeds - the larger the size, the larger the port and the greater the flow capacity. On this unit the drain is differential-pressure, which suits lines with steady, continuous flow; pick the automatic-drain variant for intermittent-flow lines or the manual-drain variant where an operator can bleed the bowl on a schedule. The 5 um element fitted here is the finer of the two published grades (40 um standard, 5 um optional) - select it when downstream valves, cylinders or instruments need cleaner air. The fitted square gauge is scaled in psi; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are alternatives. Thread is G (BSPP) here, with PT and NPT orderable; a mounting bracket is included. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated l/min, m3/h or SCFM number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow data from the datasheet and check the sizing for you on request.
The W in the code selects the optional 5 um filter grade instead of the standard 40 um element, giving finer particle removal for sensitive downstream equipment. The drain is the differential-pressure type (the default), which discharges accumulated condensate automatically as air flows through - a good match for lines with continuous, steady demand.
