The AirTAC GFR400C15F2WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15F2WTK is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady, in one body. This configuration has a 1/2 in NPT port, 5 um filtration (the finer of the two available grades), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough, an embedded square gauge reading in psi, and a reverse/check valve fitted to hold downstream pressure if the supply drops. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The polycarbonate bowl suits this size, and the mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans four sizes (200/300/400/600) with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of 40 um or 5 um filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air feeding tool changers, clamps and spindle-seal circuits on a machining centre, where the 5 um element protects fine pilot valves and the check valve holds clamp pressure through supply dips.
Supplying sorting and wrapping cylinders on a packaging conveyor, with the regulator holding consistent cylinder speed as plant air pressure wanders through the shift.
Conditioning air ahead of spray guns and atomising headers in a finishing booth, where water and 5 um-level particulate removal protect finish quality and the gauge keeps atomising pressure set correctly.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range; step up to 600 or down to 300 depending on the flow your line needs. The 5 um element (code W) is the right choice where air goes to precision valves, cylinders or instruments; the 40 um standard grade suits general plant air. The differential-pressure drain needs no attention at shutdown, unlike a manual drain; if your compressor cycles long and often, an automatic drain is the alternative. The square gauge here reads psi; MPa and bar scales are also available. Thread is NPT on this unit, with PT and G orderable. A bracket is included, and the fitted check valve holds downstream pressure through supply dips.
Because AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, we do not quote a flow number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not state a figure here. Tell us your line pressure, downstream demand and allowable pressure drop, and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet for your application before you order.
The drain opens to eject collected condensate whenever the pressure differential across the filter element rises high enough, so it works on its own during normal operation with no manual draining. If your application needs forced drainage at every shutdown regardless of differential, the same size is available with an automatic or manual drain.
