The AirTAC GFR400C15F3WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15F3WTK is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint. This size 400 unit is threaded NPT1/2 (1/2 in), carries the 5 um filtration element (code W) in place of the 40 um standard, drains by differential pressure, and includes the embedded square gauge scaled in bar. A reverse/check valve (code K) is fitted and the mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulating range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. The bowl on this size is polycarbonate.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family runs from size 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and can be ordered with automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, square or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, PT, G or NPT threads, and an optional check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtering and regulating the air feeding spray guns and atomising headers, where the 5 um element helps keep moisture and fine particulate out of the finish and the regulator holds a steady gun supply pressure.
Conditioning the air supply to cylinders and grippers on a packaging or cartoning conveyor, so the sequence valves and actuators see clean air at a pressure the line was set up for.
Serving as the single air-preparation point on a machine frame or test rig, combining water and particle removal with a locked-in setpoint for clamps, pick-and-place modules and air-powered tooling.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range; step down to 300 or 200, or up to 600, depending on the air demand of the circuit it feeds. Drain is differential-pressure here, with automatic and manual available as orderable alternatives; the 5 um element suits take-off points where the standard 40 um grade is too coarse. The square gauge is scaled in bar, with MPa and psi scales as alternatives, and the thread is NPT, with PT (the standard) and G available to order. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR family as curves rather than a single rated number, so there is no one figure we can honestly quote. Tell us your application and we will confirm the relevant flow and sizing data from the datasheet on request.
The W in the code selects the 5 um filtration grade, for take-off points where the standard 40 um element is too coarse. This configuration drains by differential pressure, which bleeds accumulated condensate automatically as the pressure differential across the element rises; automatic and manual drains are available as orderable alternatives.
