The AirTAC GFR400C15JC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15JC2 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 400-size unit is fitted with a 1/2 in PT port, the standard 40 um filter element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds accumulated condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and this configuration carries an external round pressure gauge scaled in psi. No mounting bracket is included (code J).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um (code W) filtration, square or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet details for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding a workshop pneumatic press or clamp cylinder circuit: the 40 um element keeps scale and pipe debris out of the valve stack while the regulator holds a steady working pressure at the cylinder.
Conditioning the air supply to a packaging or cartoning line, where the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate out of actuators and the regulator stabilises pressure to the sealing and diverting cylinders.
Installed at a 1/2 in drop leg serving a production cell: one body filters the incoming air and sets the cell's working pressure, with the round psi gauge giving operators a clear local pressure readout.
Sizing a GFR400 starts with the port step: this unit is 1/2 in PT, one of the larger ports in the range, so match it to the line size and the flow your application needs - we can confirm the flow curve against your demand before you order. The drain is differential-pressure by default; choose automatic (code A) for continuous unattended condensate removal or manual (code M) where you want operator-controlled draining. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify 5 um (code W) if downstream equipment needs finer filtration. Gauge options are the embedded square gauge or an external round gauge, in MPa, psi or bar scales - this unit has a round psi gauge. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order; brackets are optional (this configuration has none).
Because rated flow is published only as curves and not as a single figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number. Tell us your application and required flow, and we will confirm the datasheet curve and sizing for you on request.
C is the round (external) gauge option and 2 is the psi scale, so this unit ships with a round pressure gauge reading in psi. The embedded square gauge is the standard alternative, and MPa or bar scales are available - just ask when ordering.
