The AirTAC GFR400C15JC3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15JC3TK is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure at your setpoint. This size 400 unit has 1/2 in NPT ports, a 40 um standard filter element and a differential-pressure drain, the default drain type. The standard regulator covers a 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) setting range with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), a round gauge with bar scale is fitted, and a reverse (check) valve is built in so downstream pressure is held if the supply drops. No mounting bracket is included with this code, and operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The bowl on this size is polycarbonate (PC); only size 600 in the series uses aluminium alloy.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports and thread options, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, a 5 um element (code W) where finer filtration is needed, and gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtered, regulated air feeding pallet clamps and vise actuators on a machining center, where a steady setpoint keeps clamping behaviour consistent across the shift and the 40 um element protects the clamp valves.
Supply to carton-sealer cylinders and divert gates on a packaging conveyor, with water and debris removed before the air reaches directional valves and actuators.
Regulated air for gate, stopper and lift cylinders on a bottling line, with the built-in check valve holding the circuit if the plant air supply dips.
Choose the size and port against the air demand of the circuit: this code is size 400 with 1/2 in NPT ports, and the smaller and larger sizes step port and flow capacity up or down. Drain type is a real choice - differential-pressure (as here, no extra code), automatic (A) or manual (M) - and the element is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W. Gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar), PT as the standard thread versus G or NPT as order options, and the bracket option are all specified in the code. Because flow for this series is published as curves rather than one rated number, send us your application conditions and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the flow curve and sizing from the datasheet.
This code carries the differential-pressure drain, the default type, which discharges collected condensate when the differential across the drain rises. Automatic (A) and manual (M) drains are available as separate codes in the same GFR series.
