The AirTAC GFR400C15JF2TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15JF2TK is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds a regulated downstream pressure in one body. This size 400 unit has 1/2 in NPT ports, a 40 um filter element, and a polycarbonate (PC) bowl with the differential-pressure drain, the standard drain option for this series. The fitted square gauge reads downstream pressure in psi, and the built-in check valve (code K) blocks backflow through the unit. No mounting bracket is included with this configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, in PT, G (BSPP) or NPT thread, with differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, and MPa, psi or bar gauge scales. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with this drain type, and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). Rated flow is published only as curves, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filter and regulate the shop-air feed to a CNC cell so pneumatic clamps and tool-changer cylinders receive clean, dry air at a steady set pressure.
Condition the air feeding carton-sealing and case-packing cylinders on a packaging line, keeping the regulated pressure stable across the whole shift.
Supply filtered, regulated air to pop-up diverters and stopper cylinders along a conveyor line, with the fitted check valve blocking backflow through the unit.
Size sets the port and the flow capacity: this unit is size 400 with 1/2 in NPT ports, and larger sizes in the series carry larger ports and more flow. Drain choice is real: differential-pressure (this unit, standard), automatic (code A) or manual (code M) - note the manual-drain versions carry a wider 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range versus 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) here. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W if finer filtration is needed. The embedded square gauge is standard and this one reads psi; an external round gauge is optional with MPa, psi or bar scales. Thread is PT as the series standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as catalogue options - this unit is NPT. Bracket is omitted on this configuration (code J).
Flow for the GFR series is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against the datasheet before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and port size and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request.
K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, which blocks backflow through the unit. The rest of this code decodes as a 40 um filter element, differential-pressure drain, square gauge reading psi, NPT thread and no mounting bracket; a code without K has no check valve.
