The AirTAC GFR400C15JF3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400C15JF3WT is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady. This size-400 unit is built for 1/2 in NPT ports and carries a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two published grades), a differential-pressure drain (the default drain type for this family), and an embedded square gauge scaled in bar. The standard regulator covers a setting range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi). The polycarbonate bowl suits ambient temperatures from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing), and no mounting bracket is included with this configuration.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, embedded square or optional external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, G (BSPP) or NPT thread options and an optional mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed ahead of the machine's valve stack, it filters shop air to 5 um and holds a steady regulator setting for tool-clamp and pallet-change cylinders on a 1/2 in NPT drop.
Mounted at the drop feeding carton-sealing and case-packing cylinders, it removes water and fine particulate and keeps the set pressure stable through shift-long cycling.
Placed upstream of valve manifolds on pick-and-place robots, it protects solenoid valves from condensate and fine particles while holding the circuit pressure the integrator set.
Choose the size by port and expected flow: size 400 with 1/2 in NPT ports sits in the upper-middle range of the GFR line, but because AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than a single rating, send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm the fit against the datasheet before you order. This code already fixes several choices: a 5 um element instead of the standard 40 um, a differential-pressure drain, a square gauge scaled in bar, and no mounting bracket. If you would prefer manual or automatic draining, a 40 um element, a different gauge scale (MPa or psi), G (BSPP) or PT threading, or a bracket, those are available within the same family - tell us and we will identify the matching code. A reverse/check valve is not fitted; ask if your circuit needs one.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR400 flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number here. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the datasheet curve and check the sizing for your application before you order.
The W in the code specifies the 5 um element, the finer of the two published grades. It removes finer particulate than the standard 40 um element, which suits downstream valve islands, instruments and air tools that need cleaner air. If your line only needs general water and dirt removal, the 40 um version of the same size is also available.
