The AirTAC GFR400C15MC1WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15MC1WT is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration has a 1/2 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), a manual drain on the bowl, and a round pressure gauge with an MPa scale fitted. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, PT (standard), G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, and square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm datasheet and flow figures on request before you order.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to a bench or floor pneumatic press, where the 5 um element protects valve spools and cylinders from particulate and the regulator holds a set working pressure shift after shift.
Supplying quarter-turn pneumatic actuators on a process skid, with the regulator set to the actuator's rated pressure and the manual drain emptied during scheduled rounds.
Conditioning air for conveyor diverters, sealers and bagging heads on a packaging line, where a single 1/2 in filter regulator serves a manifold of downstream cylinders.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range; step up to 600 or down to 300 depending on the flow your line needs. This unit is already specified with the finer 5 um element, a manual drain, a round MPa gauge and an NPT thread. If your air is wet, consider the automatic drain variant so condensate leaves the bowl without operator attention; if you prefer psi or bar readout, the gauge scale can be ordered accordingly. A mounting bracket is included with this configuration.
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rated number, ask us to confirm sizing against your application - supply pressure, downstream demand and acceptable pressure drop - before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a l/min or SCFM number. Send us your supply pressure and downstream demand and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for this exact model on request before you order.
This unit's bowl uses a manual drain: condensate is emptied by opening the drain when servicing. It suits installations checked on a regular schedule. With a manual drain the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). If the installation is unattended or the air is wet, the automatic or differential-pressure drain variants are worth considering instead.
