The AirTAC GFR400C15MC3T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400C15MC3T is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: one body that strips water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady. This configuration is threaded NPT1/2, carries the standard 40 um filter element, and drains collected condensate by hand through the manual drain, so it suits lines where an operator can bleed the bowl during routine checks. Outlet pressure is set anywhere in the 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) range and read on the fitted round gauge with bar scale; the polycarbonate bowl is rated with the unit for -5 to 70 C (non-freezing) and a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and options include a 5 um element (code W), automatic or differential-pressure drain, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, G (BSPP) or NPT threads in place of the PT standard, and bracket or no-bracket mounting. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures against your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning at each paint line drop: water and pipe scale are stripped from shop air before the spray gun, and gun pressure is set and held on the bar gauge between coats, with the bowl bled at shift start.
Feeding the fold and press cylinders on a packaging conveyor line: clean, regulated air keeps box-forming strokes consistent through the run, with the manual drain opened during the operator's start-up checks.
Conditioning the compressed-air supply to analyzers and pneumatic actuators in a lab: the 40 um element guards sensitive instruments while the regulator trims the supply pressure to the level the equipment specifies.
Size 400 with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper-middle of the GFR range; step down to 300 or up to 600 depending on the air demand of your line, and we can check the published flow curves against your requirement before you order. This unit drains manually, which is simple and dependable where staff are on site; choose the automatic drain (code A) for unattended installations or the differential-pressure default where it fits the duty. The 40 um element is the standard grade; specify 5 um (code W) for finer protection of downstream equipment. The fitted round gauge reads in bar, with square gauges and MPa or psi scales available as alternatives, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads can be ordered instead of the PT standard. A bracket is included for mounting.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the datasheet flow figures for this 1/2 in unit before you order.
The M in the code is the manual drain: an operator opens it to bleed collected condensate, which suits attended lines with routine checks. If the unit will run unattended, order the same filter regulator with the automatic drain (code A) or the differential-pressure default instead.
