The AirTAC GFR400C15MF1WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15MF1WTK is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration is built with a 1/2 in NPT port, a fine 5 um filter element (the 40 um standard element is the alternative), a manual drain for emptying the bowl, an embedded square gauge scaled in MPa, and a reverse/check valve that holds downstream pressure when the upstream supply is lost. The standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with a maximum inlet pressure of 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the unit operates from -5 to 70 C in non-freezing conditions. At size 400 the bowl is polycarbonate (PC).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR line spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of 40 um or 5 um filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, gauge scale options, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads alongside the PT standard. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding the clutch and counterbalance circuits of a pneumatic stamping press with air that is filtered to 5 um and held at a set pressure, with the check valve holding the setting if the plant air dips.
Conditioning the air feeding stoppers, pushers and diverters on a packaging conveyor, where the regulator keeps actuator speeds repeatable and the manual drain is emptied at shift checks.
Supplying filtered, regulated air to pneumatic clamps and tool-change actuators on a CNC cell, where the 5 um element protects the clamping valves from particulate carried in the shop air.
Start with the port and size: this unit steps up to 1/2 in NPT on the size 400 body, the right neighbourhood for lines feeding multiple cylinders or larger actuators - match the size step to the flow your circuit needs. Choose the drain to suit access: manual drain (as fitted here) means an operator bleeds the bowl, while automatic and differential-pressure drains suit points that are hard to reach. The 5 um element (code W) is the finer choice over the 40 um standard where downstream equipment is more sensitive to particulate. The square gauge is fitted here scaled in MPa; psi and bar scales and an external round gauge are the other options. Thread is NPT on this unit; PT is the catalogue standard and G (BSPP) is also orderable. A bracket is included for mounting.
One honest note before you order: AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not as a single rated number, so we cannot quote you a rated flow here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number here. Tell us your application and line pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves on request.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: the bowl is emptied by an operator rather than automatically, which suits positions checked as part of a maintenance routine. The trailing K specifies a reverse/check valve, which holds the regulated downstream pressure if the upstream supply is interrupted.
