The AirTAC GFR400C15MF2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400C15MF2 is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: filtration and pressure regulation combined in one body. It removes water and particulate from compressed air with its standard 40 um element, then regulates downstream pressure with the standard-type regulator over a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range. This 400-size unit is threaded PT1/2, has a manual drain on the bowl, and ships with the embedded square gauge scaled in psi. The maximum working (inlet) pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). The bowl on this 400-size unit is polycarbonate (PC); only the 600 size uses an aluminium alloy bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, and with options including automatic or manual drain, a 5 um filter element (code W), gauge scale in MPa, psi or bar, G (BSPP) or NPT threads, and a reverse/check valve. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a stamping or assembly press fed by plant air, this unit filters water and scale out of the supply and holds a set working pressure at the clamping cylinders, with the psi-scaled square gauge giving the operator a direct reading at the setpoint.
On a carton-forming or wrapping line with air cylinders running diverters and seal arms, this 1/2-inch filter regulator cleans the supply and keeps actuator pressure stable through the shift, with the manual drain bled during scheduled line cleaning.
On a CNC machining centre or grinding machine, this unit conditions the plant air feeding tool-change cylinders, air chucks and purge points, protecting valves from water and particulate while the regulator holds the pressure the machine builder specified.
Choose the size and port step against the air consumption of the machine or line you are feeding: this 400-size unit is threaded PT1/2, and the GFR range steps 200/300/400/600 across 1/8 to 1 inch ports. Drain type is a real choice: this unit has a manual drain, which suits installations where an operator can bleed the bowl on a routine; the automatic and differential-pressure drain options suit unattended lines. The 40 um element fitted here is the standard grade; specify the 5 um (W) element where downstream equipment needs finer filtration. The square gauge fitted is scaled in psi; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are order options. PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order, and a mounting bracket is included.
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a rated flow figure. Send us your application details and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for this unit on request before you order.
This configuration carries code M, meaning the bowl has a manual drain that an operator opens to bleed collected water. If the installation is unattended, the GFR400 series is also available with an automatic drain (code A) or the differential-pressure drain that is the default - ask us for those model codes.
