The AirTAC GFR400C15MF2K AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR400C15MF2K is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size 400 configuration carries a 1/2 in PT port, a polycarbonate bowl with manual drain, a 40 um filter element, an embedded square gauge scaled in psi, a reverse (check) valve, and a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is made in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 covering ports from 1/8 to 1 in, with a choice of drain type (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar), PT standard thread with G and NPT as order options, and bracket choices. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to pneumatic clamps and tool-changer cylinders on a machining centre, where the check valve helps hold the clamp setpoint if shop air drops.
Conditioning the air supply to gripper and lift cylinders on a carton packaging conveyor, with the 40 um element protecting directional valves from water and debris.
Regulating and filtering the atomizing air feed to spray guns in a finishing booth, where stable set pressure and clean, dry air are part of finish quality control.
Start with the port and size step: size 400 with a 1/2 in PT port suits circuits whose demand sits in the upper mid-range of the GFR line, but because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering. Then pick the decodable options: manual drain (as on this model) when someone drains the bowl as part of routine checks, or automatic or differential-pressure drain where the unit is hard to reach; 40 um standard filtration or the 5 um W option for finer protection; gauge scale MPa, psi or bar; PT as the standard thread with G (BSPP) and NPT available to order; and bracket included or omitted (J).
On this unit the check valve (K) holds downstream settings if upstream supply is lost, which matters on circuits where a pressure setpoint must survive an air-off event. We confirm the full datasheet, including flow curves, on request.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow figures from the datasheet on request before you order.
The manual drain means condensate is emptied by hand from the polycarbonate bowl as part of routine maintenance. It also widens the regulator adjustment range to 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), versus 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) on the automatic and differential-pressure drain versions. If the unit will be mounted where it cannot easily be reached, ask us about the automatic or differential-pressure drain options.
