The AirTAC GFR400C15MF2T AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15MF2T is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body, so one component does the job of a filter and a regulator. This configuration is threaded 1/2 in NPT, carries a 40 um standard filter element, and uses a manual drain, so condensate is released by opening the drain fitting at the bottom of the metal bowl during checks. Pressure is set on the standard-type regulator over a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range and read on the fitted embedded square gauge scaled in psi. A mounting bracket is included; no reverse (check) valve is fitted. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with a choice of port sizes and threads (PT as the standard, G and NPT as orderable options), manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and low-pressure variants. Published flow data appears as curves rather than a single rated figure; ask us and we will confirm the datasheet and flow figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, pressure-controlled air to the tool-clamp and actuator circuits of a CNC machining centre, with the 40 um element catching pipe scale and water before it reaches the spindle-area cylinders.
Conditioning supply air for pneumatic presses and clamp cylinders along an automotive assembly line, where the regulator holds a fixed setpoint to the stations downstream of the unit.
Supplying regulated air to the diverter gates and stopper cylinders on a packaging conveyor, with the manual drain emptied during scheduled line checks.
Size and port are the first choice: the 400 frame with a 1/2 in NPT port suits lines where larger supply piping feeds the unit, but the right step depends on the flow your circuit actually draws, so match the frame to the demand rather than upsizing blindly. Next, choose the drain: manual (this unit) means an operator opens the drain during inspection; automatic drains condensate continuously; the differential-pressure default drains on a pressure differential. Filtration is 40 um standard - specify the W code only if a 5 um element is genuinely needed. The fitted square gauge is scaled in psi here; MPa and bar scales, and an external round gauge, are alternatives. Thread is NPT on this model; PT is the standard thread and G is the other catalogue option - order the code that matches your piping. A bracket is included; J-coded variants omit it. Flow for GFR units is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and setpoint and we will confirm the flow figures from the datasheet for this 1/2 in NPT, size 400 unit on request.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the metal bowl is released by opening the drain fitting during routine checks. Automatic (A) and differential-pressure (blank) drains are catalogue options on the GFR family if you would rather not rely on manual draining.
