The AirTAC GFR400C15MF2WTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration, GFR400C15MF2WTK, is the size 400 unit with a 1/2 in NPT port, a manual drain, a 5 um filter element (the W grade, against the 40 um standard), an embedded square gauge reading in psi, a built-in reverse/check valve and the mounting bracket included. Regulation range with the manual drain is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), max inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. The bowl on this size is polycarbonate (PC).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is published in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with a choice of port sizes and PT, G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um filter grades, square or external round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, and an optional low-pressure regulator type. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |

| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding filtered, regulated air to the clamp and tool-change cylinders on a machining centre, where the 5 um element protects directional valves from grit and water carryover and the check valve holds the clamp circuit if the shop supply drops.
Regulating supply air to sealing jaws, diverters and pusher cylinders on a food or carton packaging conveyor, with the 1/2 in port serving a header that feeds several stations and the manual drain emptied during shift checks.
Supplying a workholding clamp circuit on a pneumatic press or fixture table, where the regulator sets a steady clamp pressure on the psi gauge and the built-in check valve keeps the part clamped during an air outage.
Size 400 with its 1/2 in port is the second-largest step in the GFR range (200, 300, 400, 600); step up or down according to the flow your line needs - because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, send us your application details and we will confirm the right size before you order. This unit carries the M code, so condensate is drained by hand at the bowl; if you would rather not attend the unit regularly, the same series is available with an automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) drain. The W code selects the finer 5 um element; the 40 um standard element suits general supply and holds longer between element attention. The gauge here is the embedded square type reading psi; an external round gauge is optional, and MPa or bar scales can be ordered instead. The T code gives an NPT thread; PT is the standard thread for the series and G (BSPP) is also a catalogue option. The bracket is included, and the K code means a reverse/check valve is fitted, which holds downstream pressure if the upstream supply is removed.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one l/min or SCFM number we can honestly quote. Tell us your line pressure, downstream demand and acceptable pressure drop, and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet curves on request before you order.
The M code means condensate collected in the polycarbonate bowl is released by operating the drain by hand, so someone should attend the unit periodically. If that does not suit your installation, the same GFR400 family is available with an automatic drain (code A) or the differential-pressure drain that is the series default - just ask for the alternative code.
