GFR400C15MF3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2

The AirTAC GFR400C15MF3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR400C15MF3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2

GFR400C15MF3TK is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: it strips water and particulate from compressed air and holds a set downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is built around a 1/2 in NPT port, a manual-drain metal bowl, a 40 um filter element and an embedded square gauge reading in bar, with a reverse/check valve fitted and a mounting bracket included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) on this manual-drain version, and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and can be ordered with differential-pressure, automatic or manual draining, a 40 um or 5 um (W) element, square or round gauges scaled in MPa, psi or bar, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR400G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
C1Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the GFR400C15MF3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Is Used

factory

Pneumatic press station supply

Point-of-use preparation for a pneumatic press or forming station: the 40 um element removes water and chips carried in from the main line while the regulator holds a steady setting at the press cylinders.

precision_manufacturing

CNC machine air cabinet

Feeding the pneumatic circuit of a CNC machining cell - clamps, tool-change cylinders and air blasts - with filtered air at a fixed, repeatable pressure read off the square bar gauge.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuator feed

Supplying carton-sealing and case-packing actuators on a packaging conveyor, where the fitted check valve holds the downstream setting if the upstream supply dips and the manual drain is emptied at shift checks.

Is the GFR400C15MF3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 the Right Unit?

The real choices in this family are the size and port step, matched to the air demand of the circuit; the drain type, where manual draining is done by hand while automatic and differential-pressure drains handle it for you; the filter grade, 40 um standard or 5 um with the W code; the gauge scale, MPa, psi or bar; the thread, with PT as the standard and G and NPT as order options; and whether a bracket is fitted. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so send us your application and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (See datasheet here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR400C15MF3TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves, not as a single rated figure, so there is no one l/min or SCFM number to quote. Tell us your operating pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.

The M code means the bowl is drained by hand, which suits stations checked as part of a routine. It also widens the regulator adjustment to 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi); automatic and differential-pressure drain versions adjust from 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi).
