The AirTAC GFR400C15MJC1TK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series combines two jobs in one body: a 40 um filter element that strips water and particulate from compressed air, and a pressure regulator that sets downstream pressure. This configuration is the size 400 unit with a 1/2 in NPT port, a manual drain on the polycarbonate bowl, a built-in reverse (check) valve, and an external round pressure gauge reading in MPa. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the unit operates from -5 to 70 C in non-freezing conditions.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with port options from 1/8 to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G or NPT to order, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drain, a 5 um element option (code W), gauge scale in MPa, psi or bar, and bracket or no-bracket mounting. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Mounted at the air drop feeding a stamping press's pneumatic clutch and control valves, this unit filters line scale and moisture from the plant header and holds a steady regulated pressure to the machine's air circuit.
Installed ahead of the cylinder and valve bank on a carton-sealing conveyor, it removes condensate and particles that would score seals and holds the set pressure so stopper and pusher cylinders cycle consistently.
Fitted at a service bench supply for impact wrenches, grinders and blow guns, it keeps rust and water out of the tools and lets the technician set a safe, repeatable working pressure at the gauge.
When choosing within GFR400, the decodable choices are: port and thread (this unit is NPT1/2; PT is the catalogue standard and G or NPT are order options), drain type (manual here - you drain the bowl by hand, which suits installations checked regularly; automatic or differential-pressure drain suits unattended lines), filter grade (40 um standard, 5 um with code W for finer protection), gauge and scale, and whether a mounting bracket is fitted (this unit is supplied without one). Step size up or down (200/300/400/600) against the flow your line needs.
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet figures before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your inlet pressure, set pressure and required air consumption, and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve for your application before you order.
The M in this code means the polycarbonate bowl is drained by hand - a good fit where the unit is checked regularly. If the installation runs unattended, the same GFR400 size is available with automatic (code A) or differential-pressure (blank) drainage; note the regulator adjust range differs: 0.05-0.9 MPa with manual drain versus 0.15-0.9 MPa with automatic or differential-pressure drain.
