GFR400C15MJC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um

The AirTAC GFR400C15MJC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the GFR400C15MJC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um

The AirTAC GFR400C15MJC2 is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one body. This configuration has a PT1/2 (1/2 in) port with PT thread, a 40 um filter element, a manual drain bowl, a standard regulator with a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) adjustment range, and a round pressure gauge reading in psi. No reverse/check valve is fitted and no mounting bracket is included.

This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR series, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, an optional 5 um element (code W), gauge styles and scales, and G or NPT thread options to order. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

GFR400G-series filter regulator, 400 body — sets the port range.
C1Port size See datasheet. This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
(blank)Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Conditioning and regulating the compressed air feeding tool-clamp cylinders and pallet-changing actuators on a machining centre, with the 40 um element protecting valves from water and swarf-carrying condensate.

conveyor_belt

Packaging line stopper and pusher cylinders

Supplying filtered, regulated air to the stop, divert and push cylinders along a carton packaging conveyor, where the manual drain is blown down during scheduled line cleaning.

air

Automotive refinish spray booth

Filtering and setting supply pressure to air-fed spray equipment in a refinish booth, where steady regulated pressure and removal of water and pipe scale keep finish quality consistent.

Is the GFR400C15MJC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um the Right Unit?

Size 400 with a PT1/2 port suits lines running larger pneumatic loads; step up or down through the 200/300/400/600 range according to the flow your circuit needs. With the manual drain fitted (code M), the regulator range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi); set the outlet with the supplied round psi gauge. The 40 um element is the standard grade - choose the 5 um W option only where finer filtration is required. PT thread is the standard; G (BSPP) and NPT are order options. No bracket is included with this code, so plan your mounting accordingly.

Flow for this series is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

GFR400C15MJC2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, 40 um FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a l/min, m3/h or SCFM number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.

Code M specifies a manual drain bowl, so condensate is released by operating the drain by hand as part of routine maintenance rather than automatically. On a manual-drain GFR unit the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). If you prefer unattended condensate removal, ask about the automatic (A) or differential-pressure variants.
