The AirTAC GFR400C15MJF2G AirTAC Filter Regulator G1/2, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15MJF2G is a size-400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady, in a single body. This configuration has a 1/2 in port with G (BSPP) thread, a manual-drain bowl in polycarbonate (PC), a 40 um standard filter element, and an embedded square gauge reading in psi. Regulation range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, and with a choice of drain type, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge type and scale, thread (PT standard; G and NPT as order options) and mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use preparation for a CNC machining cell: the unit strips water and particulate from the shop air line and holds a steady regulated pressure to the machine's pneumatic valves, clamps and tool-change cylinders.
Installed ahead of the air controls on a cartoning or wrapping machine, it keeps condensate and debris out of the directional valves and maintains the set pressure the machine's cylinders were tuned to.
Fitted upstream of air-operated control valves and positioners on a process line, where clean, moisture-reduced air at a stable set pressure is required and no lubricant may be introduced.
Choose the size by the port and flow your line needs: this size-400 unit carries a 1/2 in port, and larger sizes in the series pass more flow. Drain options are differential-pressure (default), automatic (A) or manual (M) - this unit is manual, so the bowl is emptied by hand as part of routine service. Filtration is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W; the gauge here is the embedded square type reading psi, with MPa or bar scales available on other configurations. Thread is G (BSPP) on this unit; PT is the standard and NPT is an order option. No mounting bracket is fitted (code J); brackets are available. Because flow is published as curves, not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the datasheet figures and check the size against your application on request.
The bowl collects the water separated from the air and the 40 um element holds particulate. With a manual drain you open the drain by hand to empty the bowl as part of routine service. Automatic (A) and differential-pressure (default) drains are available on other configurations in this series.
