The AirTAC GFR400C15MJF3WT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400 series does two jobs in one body: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure. This configuration is the 400 size with a 1/2 in NPT port, a metal bowl with manual drain, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two available grades), a standard regulator adjustable from 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and an embedded square gauge reading in bar. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). No mounting bracket is fitted and no reverse/check valve is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and with drain, filter-grade, gauge-scale and thread options (PT as standard; G and NPT as order options). Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing and any datasheet figure for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding spray guns and air-assisted atomizers on a paint line, where the 5 um element strips finer particulate and water carryover from the drop, the regulator holds a steady set pressure at the gun, and the operator drains the bowl at shift start.
Supplying regulated air to pneumatic clamps, vises and tool-change cylinders on a machining centre, keeping the actuation pressure stable at the fixture while the metal bowl with manual drain catches condensate from the shop air main.
Conditioning the air feed to carton sealers, case tapers and labeling heads along a packaging conveyor, so cylinders and vacuum generators see filtered air at a consistent regulated pressure through a 1/2 in NPT connection.
Size and port step up together across 200, 300, 400 and 600, from 1/8 in to 1 in, so choose the size whose published flow curve covers your demand rather than matching the port thread alone. Drain type is a real choice: differential-pressure (the default), automatic, or manual - this unit is manual, so an operator opens the drain periodically to expel collected condensate. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with the W code for finer protection; this unit carries the 5 um element. Gauges are embedded square as standard with MPa, psi or bar scales (this one is bar), and an external round gauge is optional. Thread is PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT to order - this unit is NPT. A mounting bracket is optional. Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details - downstream consumption, working pressure and line layout - and we will confirm the flow curve and sizing for the 400 size from the datasheet on request before you order.
This unit is ordered with manual drain (code M) instead of the differential-pressure default. Condensate collects in the metal bowl and an operator opens the drain periodically - for example at the start of a shift - to expel it. If you would rather not rely on operator attention, automatic and differential-pressure drains are catalogue options on the same GFR400 series.
