The AirTAC GFR400C15MLJF2 AirTAC Filter Regulator PT1/2, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15MLJF2 is a size 400 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration carries a PT1/2 (1/2 in) PT-threaded port, a manual drain for emptying the metal bowl, a 40 um standard filtration element, and the low-pressure regulator type for circuits that run below ordinary working pressures. An embedded square gauge with a psi scale is fitted so the setpoint can be read directly, and the maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) with an operating temperature range of -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). No reverse/check valve is fitted and this unit is ordered without a mounting bracket.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR filter-regulator family, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge and thread options, and optional brackets. Flow is published by AirTAC as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filter and regulate the air feeding a pneumatic stamping or forming press, with the psi gauge letting the setter read and hold the circuit pressure the tooling was qualified at.
Condition the 1/2 in air drop feeding cylinders and diverters on a cartoning or wrapping line, using the manual drain at shift start to clear condensate collected in the bowl.
Install at a branch take-off from a factory compressed-air ring main to deliver cleaned, regulated air to a work cell, with the low-pressure type matching circuits run below ordinary pressures.
Step up through the GFR sizes (200, 300, 400, 600) and their port sizes (1/8 in to 1 in) according to the air demand of the circuit; this size 400 unit with its PT1/2 port suits lines fed at 1/2 in. Choose the drain to match maintenance practice: manual drain (as here) is emptied by hand, automatic drain discharges condensate by itself, and the differential-pressure default drains on a pressure drop. Filtration is 40 um standard or 5 um with the W code where finer protection is needed. The gauge is the embedded square type; psi scale on this unit, with MPa or bar scales and an external round gauge available as options. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as orderable options, and a bracket can be added if the unit is not otherwise supported. Note that this is the low-pressure regulator type; ask us to confirm its setpoint range against your required outlet pressure before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Send us your inlet pressure and the air demand of your circuit and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: the metal bowl is emptied by hand, which suits lines that are shut down regularly. If the unit will run unattended, the same GFR400 size is available with an automatic drain, and the catalogue default is a differential-pressure drain - tell us which you need and we will decode the right variant.
