The AirTAC GFR400C15MLNT AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15MLNT is a 400-size filter regulator that cleans compressed air and holds downstream pressure in one body. Filtration removes water and particulate through a 40 um element, while the low-pressure regulator sets and holds a reduced working pressure for circuits that run well below standard line pressure. This configuration has 1/2 in NPT ports, a manual drain bowl in PC (polycarbonate), no gauge fitted, and a mounting bracket included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR series, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port options from 1/8 to 1 in, PT (standard), G or NPT threads, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, and a 40 um standard or 5 um (W) filter element. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a woodworking or furniture press, hold-down and clamp cylinders often run at reduced pressure to avoid crushing the workpiece. The GFR400C15MLNT filters the shop air and regulates it down to the clamp circuit's working pressure, with the 1/2 in NPT ports feeding the main clamp manifold.
Packaging lines use low-pressure actuators for trays, sealing bars and product pushers. This filter regulator cleans incoming compressed air of water and particulate and holds a steady reduced pressure to those actuators, while the manual drain lets an operator bleed accumulated condensate at shift start.
Test benches and lab fixtures that actuate grippers, clamps or sample holders need clean air at a stable, repeatable pressure. The GFR400C15MLNT supplies filtered air through its 40 um element and regulates it to the fixture's set point, and the included bracket allows clean panel or frame mounting.
Step up or down through the GFR sizes (200/300/400/600) to match the port and flow path your line needs; this 400-size unit carries 1/2 in ports. Choose the drain that suits access: manual (as here, which also widens the standard regulation window), automatic for hands-off condensate removal, or the differential-pressure default. Pick the 40 um standard element or the 5 um W option where finer filtration is required, add a gauge (square embedded or external round, MPa/psi/bar scales) if local pressure indication is needed, and order PT, G or NPT threads to suit the piping. A bracket is included; specify J to omit it. Flow is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so send us your application parameters and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow number. Tell us your application's flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: condensate collected in the PC bowl is released by hand rather than automatically. Manual drain suits installations with scheduled maintenance access, and it is one of three GFR drain choices alongside the differential-pressure default and the fully automatic option for unattended duty.
