The AirTAC GFR400C15MLNTK AirTAC Filter Regulator NPT1/2 Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15MLNTK is a size 400 filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus pressure regulation combined in a single body, with a 1/2 in NPT port. This configuration carries a 40 um filter element, a manual drain bowl, the low-pressure regulator type, and a fitted reverse (check) valve; no gauge is fitted on this code and a mounting bracket is included. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. As with all GFR units, there is no lubricator in this body.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR series, which spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in and PT, G and NPT thread options. Drain, filter grade, gauge and regulator-type choices are available across the range. Flow is published by AirTAC as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On welding and assembly fixtures where clamps must close at a reduced, controlled pressure to avoid distorting the workpiece, a filter regulator keeps the clamp air clean and holds the set pressure, with the check valve helping the circuit hold its setting.
Carton sealers, case packers and wrapping machines run cylinders continuously; a combined filter regulator at the machine drop removes condensate and pipe scale and gives the operator one point to set the working pressure.
Air-jet cleaning and web-support nozzles on textile, paper and film lines need steady, moderate pressure and clean air; this unit filters the supply and regulates it to the level the nozzles were set up for.
Size and port are the first choice: the 400 frame with a 1/2 in port sits in the upper half of the GFR range, so step up or down (200/300/400/600) according to the air demand of the line rather than the pipe alone. Drain type is a real decision: manual drain (this code, M) needs someone to open the bowl drain, while automatic (A) and differential-pressure (default) drain discharge condensate without operator action. Filter grade is 40 um as standard on this unit; specify W for the 5 um element if downstream equipment needs finer filtration. This code is the low-pressure regulator type (L) with no gauge fitted (N) - gauge and scale options exist on the family if you want a supplied indication. Thread here is NPT; PT is the standard thread and G (BSPP) is the alternative order option. A mounting bracket is included.
One honest note on sizing: AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated number, so send us your flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm the right size against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one rated flow number we can quote for this unit. Send us your required flow and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.
M is the manual-drain code: condensate collected in the bowl is released by opening the drain, which suits installations that are checked regularly. If nobody will attend the unit, choose the A (automatic) code or the differential-pressure default instead. The trailing K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, and N earlier in the code means no gauge is supplied on this configuration.
