The AirTAC AirTAC GF300-15 Filter (GF30015JW) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 5 µm element, with PT1/2" ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The GF30015JW is a genuine AirTAC G-series air filter for compressed air only - it filters water and particulate, with no pressure regulation and no lubrication function. This unit is size 300 with a 1/2 in PT port, the optional 5 um element in place of the standard 40 um grade, the default differential-pressure drain, and no mounting bracket (J), suiting direct port or manifold mounting.
It is a genuine AirTAC part from a series offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600, with automatic and manual drain options, a bracketed version, and G (BSPP) or T (NPT) threads available to order. Maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing; the size 300 bowl is polycarbonate. Flow data is published as curves, not a single rating - we confirm datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF300 | G-series air filter, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| J | Supplied without bracket. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Fitted on the air supply to pick-and-place modules on an electronics assembly line, where the 5 um element guards small solenoid valves against fine contamination.
Installed on bench air drops serving precision pneumatic tools and riveters, it keeps fine particulate out of tool spools and bearings between maintenance intervals.
Used on the clean-air branch of engineering test rigs and gauging fixtures, supplying actuators and clamps with finer-filtered air than the general plant standard.
Choose the 5 um element on this JW variant when downstream equipment needs finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade - for example precision valves or actuators - and step down to the standard grade where coarse protection is sufficient. The differential-pressure drain is the default; automatic (A) and manual (M) drain variants exist in the same size. Size 300 at 1/2 in PT is the mid-range step; larger sizes carry larger ports and more flow capability. A bracketed version and G/NPT threads are catalogue alternatives.
Because AirTAC states flow as curves rather than a single figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
There is no single published rated flow for this filter - AirTAC provides flow data as curves only. Give us your operating pressure and consumption and we will confirm the datasheet and validate the sizing for your application on request.
The W option filters to 5 um instead of the standard 40 um, catching finer particles for more sensitive downstream equipment, at the cost of changing elements more often in heavily contaminated lines. Drain type and bracket are the other decode choices: this unit keeps the differential-pressure drain and omits the bracket.
