The AirTAC AirTAC GF400-10 Filter (GF40010) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with PT3/8" ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The AirTAC GF series is a compressed-air filter only: it strips water and particulate out of the air line, with no pressure regulation and no lubrication. This GF40010 is the size 400 unit with 3/8in PT ports, the standard 40 micron element and the family's default differential-pressure drain. The polycarbonate bowl is standard at this size, the maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part distributed for the US market. The G-series filter line runs from size 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8in to 1in, in PT (standard), G (BSPP) or NPT thread, with differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains and 40 or 5 micron elements. AirTAC publishes filter flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtering plant air feeding a bench-mounted pneumatic press, dropping condensed water and pipe scale out of the line ahead of the downstream regulator station and press cylinder.
Point-of-use filtration on the air drops serving a carton-forming and taping machine, catching rust particles and water carried over from the factory distribution main before they reach the machine's valves.
A general-purpose filter at take-off points on a workshop compressed-air ring main, where size 400 with 3/8in ports matches the diameter of the branch line feeding hand tools and small cylinders.
Size 400 with 3/8in PT ports matches 3/8in branch lines; the step to size 600 (larger ports, higher flow capacity) or down to size 300 is a pure pipe-size and flow decision. The standard element here is 40 micron for general water and particle removal; order the W variant if the application needs the 5 micron grade. Drain choices are the differential-pressure default, automatic (A) or manual (M); threads come as PT (standard), G or NPT, and a mounting bracket is included unless a no-bracket variant is specified. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes filter flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one number to quote. Send us your line pressure and flow requirement and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet on request.
A blank drain position means the differential-pressure drain, which is the default for the GF family. If you prefer automatic or manual drainage, the same size 400, 3/8in unit is available as GF40010A (automatic) or GF40010M (manual).
