The AirTAC AirTAC GF400-10 Filter (GF40010A) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with PT3/8" ports and a automatic drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The AirTAC GF series is a compressed-air filter only: it removes water and particulate from the line, with no pressure regulation and no lubrication. This GF40010A is the size 400 unit with 3/8in PT ports, the standard 40 micron element and the A-coded automatic drain, which discharges accumulated condensate from the bowl without an operator opening it. The polycarbonate bowl is standard at this size, the maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part distributed for the US market. The G-series filter line runs from size 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8in to 1in, in PT (standard), G (BSPP) or NPT thread, with differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains and 40 or 5 micron elements. AirTAC publishes filter flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtration on the air drops in a small factory compressor room that runs unattended overnight, where the automatic drain clears collected condensate without a shift operator opening the bowl.
Conditioning supply air to filler and capper actuators on a bottling line, with the automatic drain keeping the bowl clear through continuous multi-shift running.
Filtering the air at a maintenance-bay service drop feeding impact wrenches and tyre inflation cages, where automatic drainage suits intermittent, unmonitored use between jobs.
Size 400 with 3/8in PT ports is the choice for 3/8in branch lines; move to size 300 or 600 depending on pipework and required flow. The A suffix selects the automatic drain against the differential-pressure default or the manual (M) option - automatic suits points that run unattended or are awkward to reach. The standard element is 40 micron; the W variant gives the 5 micron grade. Threads can be ordered as PT (standard), G or NPT, and a mounting bracket is included on this variant. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes filter flow as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated number. Give us your line pressure and demand profile and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet on request.
The standard GF drain is differential-pressure; the A suffix swaps in an automatic drain, and M gives a manual drain. Automatic is the practical choice where the filter runs unattended or sits in a hard-to-reach spot, since it discharges condensate without an operator. All three are orderable variants of the same size 400, 3/8in filter.
