The AirTAC AirTAC GF400-10 Filter (GF40010AJW) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 5 µm element, with PT3/8" ports and a automatic drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF40010AJW is a genuine AirTAC G-series air filter in size 400 with a 3/8 in PT port. It does one job only: removing water and particulate from compressed air. It contains no regulator and no lubricator. This configuration carries the finer 5 um filtering element (the W option instead of the standard 40 um), an automatic drain that discharges collected condensate without anyone opening it, and is ordered without a mounting bracket. The bowl for the 400 size is polycarbonate, maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G filter series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 in ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, with 40 um standard or 5 um elements and differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain choices. Flow for the series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so tell us your application and we will confirm the datasheet figures for this model on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF400 | G-series air filter, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| J | Supplied without bracket. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Drops feeding the torch station on a plasma cutting table. The 5 um element and automatic drain help keep water out of the torch supply lines without daily attention from the operator.

Wall drops in an automotive body and paint shop supplying air tools and blow guns, with condensate shed automatically between shifts.
Stay at size 400 with the 3/8 in PT port if your air line is built around that connection; step up to 600 where larger piping and flow demand apply, or down to 300/200 for compact points of use. Because flow is published as curves and not as a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering. Choose the 5 um element in this model when downstream equipment needs finer filtration than the standard 40 um grade, and the automatic drain when the unit sits where condensate cannot be emptied by hand. PT is the standard thread; G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue thread options you can order. A mounting bracket is available on the version without the J suffix.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes flow for the G series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your application and required flow and we will confirm the datasheet curve and check the size 400 / 3/8 in selection on request.
The A in the code means an automatic drain: collected condensate is discharged without anyone operating it, which suits unattended points of use. The catalogue default is a differential-pressure drain, and a manual drain is available for points where an operator drains the bowl routinely.
