The AirTAC AirTAC GF400-10 Filter (GF40010JW) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 5 µm element, with PT3/8" ports and a differential-pressure drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF40010JW is a genuine AirTAC G-series air filter in size 400 with a 3/8 in PT port. It is a filtration-only unit for compressed air: no regulation and no lubrication are included. This configuration combines the finer 5 um filtering element (the W option, instead of the standard 40 um grade) with the differential-pressure drain as the catalogue default, and the J suffix means no mounting bracket. The bowl on the 400 size is polycarbonate, maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The G filter series is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, 40 um standard or 5 um elements, and a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so tell us your application and we will confirm the datasheet figures for this model on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF400 | G-series air filter, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| J | Supplied without bracket. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use filtration on a laboratory air ring main feeding pneumatic apparatus, where the 5 um element provides finer filtration than general plant air grade.
The air inlet stage of a hydraulic and pneumatic test bench, protecting gauges and test circuits on the bench from fine particles with the 5 um element.
Filtration ahead of control valves on truck body-building equipment such as tail-lift and tipper test rigs, piped inline without a bracket on the rig frame.
Keep size 400 with the 3/8 in PT port to match your piping; go to 600 where larger flow demand applies or to 300/200 for compact installations, and have us confirm the flow curve against your duty before ordering, since no single rated flow figure is published. This code pairs the 5 um element with the differential-pressure drain - a good fit where you need finer-than-standard filtration at a normally flowing point of use. If the location needs hands-off condensate removal, choose the automatic drain version (A) instead. PT is the standard thread; G (BSPP) and NPT are catalogue thread options you can order, and the version without the J suffix adds a mounting bracket.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
Flow for the G series is published as curves rather than as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application and required flow and we will confirm the datasheet curve and check that size 400 with a 3/8 in PT port is correctly sized, on request.
The J suffix on this model means no mounting bracket is included, so it is normally piped inline between fittings. If you want to fix the filter to a panel or wall, order the same filter without the J suffix, which includes the bracket.
