The AirTAC AirTAC GF400-10 Filter (GF40010MJ) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with PT3/8" ports and a manual drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The AirTAC GF40010MJ is a GF-series air filter, 400 size, with a 3/8" PT port. It is a filtration-only unit: it strips water and particulate from compressed air, with no regulator and no lubricator. The trailing J means no mounting bracket is supplied, so the body is plumbed directly into the line or panel-mounted by your own means. Drainage is manual, and the standard 40 um element handles general plant air. The bowl on the 400 size is polycarbonate.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GF range covering sizes 200 to 600 and ports 1/8" to 1". G (BSPP) and NPT threads, automatic drains and the finer 5 um (W) element are catalogue options on the family. Flow is published as curves rather than one rated figure, so we will confirm datasheet figures for your duty on request.
| Model | AirTAC GF400-10 Filter (GF40010MJ) |

| Series | GF400 air filter |
| Port size | PT3/8" (PT thread) |
| Filtering grade | 40 µm |
| Drain type | Manual drain |
| Bracket | Supplied without bracket |
| Fluid | Compressed air |
|---|---|
| Inlet pressure | 0 - 0.9 MPa (0 - 131 psi) |
| Max. working pressure | 1.0 MPa (145 psi) |
| Temperature range | -5 to +70 °C (unfreeze) |
| Bowl material | PC |
| Feature | Low pressure loss |
Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF400 | G-series air filter, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| J | Supplied without bracket. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Plumbed inline above each spray-gun station, the filter traps compressor carry-over water and rust flakes so they do not blemish the finish between the booth's main filter set and the gun.
Used on the shop-air feed to a commercial-vehicle brake test bench, it clears moisture and debris from the supply before air reaches the rig's test couplings and gauges.
Fitted on the feed to an air-knife blow-off station on a parts-washing line, it keeps pipe scale and condensate out of the nozzle slots that dry components before assembly.
Take the J (no bracket) version when the filter is inline in tight pipework or fixed to your own manifold or panel - otherwise the bracketed GF40010M is the same unit with mounting included. The 3/8" PT port matches 400-size flow paths; step down to 200/300 for lighter lines or up to 600 for larger ports. Manual drain suits attended installations. 40 um is the standard element; choose W for 5 um where downstream components demand it. PT is the standard thread, with G and NPT orderable options.
Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
We do not quote a single rated flow because AirTAC publishes GF-series performance as flow curves rather than one number. Send us your duty and we will confirm the datasheet figures on request so you can check the 400 size against your line demand.
J means no mounting bracket is included - the filter body is otherwise identical to the bracketed version. If you want wall or frame fixing hardware, order the plain GF40010M instead; everything else (3/8" PT port, manual drain, 40 um element, PT thread) is the same.
