The AirTAC AirTAC GF400-10 Filter (GF40010MW) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 5 µm element, with PT3/8" ports and a manual drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
The AirTAC GF40010MW is a GF-series air filter, 400 size, with a 3/8" PT port and a mounting bracket included. It is filtration only - water and particulate removal from compressed air, with no regulator and no lubricator. The W suffix selects the finer 5 um element in place of the standard 40 um, and the M suffix gives a manual drain that is opened by hand to empty the polycarbonate bowl.
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GF range, which spans sizes 200 to 600 and ports from 1/8" to 1", with G (BSPP) and NPT thread options, bracket and no-bracket versions, and automatic or manual drains across the family. Flow is published as curves rather than one rated figure, so we will confirm the datasheet figures for your duty on request.
| Model | AirTAC GF400-10 Filter (GF40010MW) |
|---|---|
| Series | GF400 air filter |
| Port size | PT3/8" (PT thread) |
| Filtering grade | 5 µm |
| Drain type | Manual drain |
| Bracket | Mounting bracket included |
| Fluid | Compressed air |
|---|---|
| Inlet pressure | 0 - 0.9 MPa (0 - 131 psi) |
| Max. working pressure | 1.0 MPa (145 psi) |
| Temperature range | -5 to +70 °C (unfreeze) |
| Bowl material | PC |
| Feature | Low pressure loss |
Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF400 | G-series air filter, 400 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.
| This model | GF400 · PT3/8" · 5 µm |

Bracket-mounted at the head of a maintenance shop's tool-air manifold, the filter conditions the feed to air ratchets, die grinders and torque tools used across the daily repair schedule.
Fitted on the air feed to a carton-erecting and sealing machine, the 5 um element protects the machine's small vacuum and clamp valves from moisture and fine debris in plant air.
Installed upstream of a robot cell's gripper and blast-air circuit, it cleans the supply so the compact gripper valves and nozzles keep cycling without contamination-induced sticking.
This code pairs the 5 um W element and manual drain with a bracketed 400 body on a 3/8" PT port - choose it when the unit will be wall or frame mounted and the line needs finer-than-standard filtration. If your air is general-purpose, the 40 um element variant saves element cost; if the filter will be unattended, look at the automatic-drain variant instead. For larger or smaller duties step to the 600 or 200/300 sizes and their matching ports. PT is the standard thread, with G and NPT orderable options.
Flow for this series is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents or exposed to synthetic oils that attack polycarbonate — wipe it with a dry cloth. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC publishes GF-series flow as curves rather than a single rated number, so we do not state a flow figure. Give us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet flow data on request, so you can check the 400 size and 3/8" port against your demand.
GF = air filter (filtration only); 400 = frame size; 10 = 3/8" port; the missing thread letter means PT is standard; M = manual drain; W = 5 um filter element (the standard is 40 um); and no J means a mounting bracket is included. Say the word if you want the automatic-drain or no-bracket variant instead.
