AirTAC GF600-20 Filter (GF60020A)

The AirTAC AirTAC GF600-20 Filter (GF60020A) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 40 µm element, with PT3/4" ports and a automatic drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.

About the AirTAC GF600-20 Filter (GF60020A)

GF60020A is a genuine AirTAC G-series air filter in size 600, the largest size in the family, for compressed air only. It removes water and particulate; it does not regulate pressure and does not lubricate. This configuration has a 3/4 inch PT port, the standard 40 um element and an automatic drain, so collected condensate is expelled without operator attention. The 600-size bowl is aluminium alloy. Maximum working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and working temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. G-series filters run from size 200 to 600, with ports from 1/8 to 1 inch, PC bowls on the 200/300/400 sizes and an aluminium alloy bowl on 600, plus a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains and 40 um or 5 um elements. Filter flow is published as curves rather than a single rated number, so we confirm the datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: AirTAC GF600-20 Filter (GF60020A)

GF600G-series air filter, 600 body — sets the port range.
20Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1".
ADrain: Automatic drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M).
(blank)Mounting bracket included. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.

Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.

Size Class

  • GF300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GF400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GF600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the AirTAC GF600-20 Filter (GF60020A) Is Used

local_shipping

Truck service bay air drop

Installed at the air drop serving a commercial-vehicle service bay, the automatic drain clears condensate between jobs so impact wrenches and lift locks get dry air all shift without anyone bleeding the bowl.

factory

Unattended compressor room

Placed on the distribution line in a compressor room that runs without an operator overnight, the automatic drain removes accumulated water so the header downstream starts each morning dry.

conveyor_belt

Warehouse conveyor supply

Fitted on the branch feeding the pneumatic diverters and stop gates along a distribution-centre conveyor line, it keeps water out of the controls while the automatic drain handles condensate between shifts.

Is the AirTAC GF600-20 Filter (GF60020A) the Right Filter?

Size 600 with a 3/4 inch port is the top step of the G-series filter range; confirm it against the published flow curve rather than a rated figure, since AirTAC publishes flow as curves - we will check the datasheet against your demand before you order. The 40 um element is the standard grade, and a 5 um W version is available for finer duty. The automatic drain is the pick for unattended rooms, intermittent duty or remote drops; the differential-pressure drain is the default, and the M manual-drain version suits attended lines. PT is the standard thread, with G (BSPP) and NPT as catalogue options. A bracket is included, and a no-bracket J version is available.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/4" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain: differential, automatic or manual
  • ✓ Manual drain caps inlet at 0.9 MPa
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Bracket needed, or order with J

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, and follow the airflow arrow.
  • check Put the filter first in the air-preparation line.
  • check Keep inlet pressure within 0.15 - 1.0 MPa (22 - 145 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).
  • check Replace the 40 µm element when pressure loss rises.

The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GF600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.

AirTAC GF600-20 Filter (GF60020A) FAQ

AirTAC publishes filter flow as performance curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not state one number here. Send us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.

The automatic drain on this model expels collected condensate without operator attention, which suits unattended compressor rooms, remote drops and lines that idle between shifts. The default differential-pressure drain suits continuously flowing mains, and the M manual-drain version works where staff can bleed the bowl regularly - all three share the same size-600 body, 3/4 inch port and 40 um element.
