The AirTAC AirTAC GF600-20 Filter (GF60020MJW) is a genuine G-series air filter. It separates condensed water and filters particulate from the compressed-air line through a 5 µm element, with PT3/4" ports and a manual drain. A filter does not set downstream pressure — pair it with a GR regulator, or use a GFR filter regulator, when pressure control is needed.
GF60020MJW is an AirTAC G-series air filter, a filtration-only unit: it removes condensed water and particulate from compressed air. There is no pressure regulation and no lubrication in this family. This configuration is the large 600 frame with a 3/4 in PT (BSPT-type, standard) port, a fine 5 um filter element (the W grade, versus the 40 um standard), a manual drain on the bowl, and no mounting bracket (J). With manual drainage, an operator opens the drain periodically to expel collected water, so the bowl is best sited where it can be reached for service. Inlet pressure for this manual-drain filter is 0-0.9 MPa.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GF600 is the largest G-series filter frame; the family is also available in 200, 300 and 400 sizes, with 40 um standard or 5 um fine filtration, differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, and G (BSPP) or NPT thread options. Flow is published by AirTAC as performance curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm sizing and any datasheet value against your application before ordering.
| Model | AirTAC GF600-20 Filter (GF60020MJW) |
|---|---|
| Series | GF600 air filter |
| Port size | PT3/4" (PT thread) |
| Filtering grade | 5 µm |
| Drain type | Manual drain |
| Bracket | Supplied without bracket |
| Fluid | Compressed air |
|---|---|
| Inlet pressure | 0 - 0.9 MPa (0 - 131 psi) |
| Max. working pressure | 1.0 MPa (145 psi) |
| Temperature range | -5 to +70 °C (unfreeze) |
| Bowl material | Aluminium alloy |
| Feature | Low pressure loss |
Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The inlet-pressure band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains run 0.15 - 1.0 MPa, a manual drain runs 0 - 0.9 MPa. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GF600 | G-series air filter, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain. Options are differential (blank), automatic (A) or manual (M). |
| J | Supplied without bracket. A bracket ships by default; J orders it without. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
Field order is size, port, drain, bracket, grade, thread — a blank position takes the default. Example: GF300-10AJW is a 300 body, PT3/8", automatic drain, no bracket, 5 µm element, PT thread.
A larger body carries a larger port and passes more air at the same pressure drop. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom rather than from a single rated figure. The GF600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the 3/4 in branch feeding a production hall, the GF60020MJW strips pipe-scale, rust particles and condensed water from the factory air main before the supply reaches workstations.
On the shop-air drop feeding tyre-inflation and impact-wrench stations, the manual-drain bowl is bled at shift start while the 5 um element keeps grit out of couplings and chucks.
Mounted on the compressed-air ring main serving saws and pneumatic clamps in a joinery, the fine 5 um grade protects tools from fine dust-laden particulate carried in the shop air.
Start with size and port: the 600 frame with a 3/4 in PT port is the right choice when your line diameter and air demand sit at the top of the G-series range; step down to 200/300/400 if your demand is smaller. On drainage, choose manual (this unit) when an operator can reliably bleed the bowl, automatic where you want continuous unattended draining, or the differential-pressure default. This unit carries the 5 um W element - pick it for finer downstream protection, or take the blank code for the 40 um standard element. No mounting bracket is supplied on the J version; order the plain code if you want the bracket. Thread is PT as standard, with G and NPT available as ordered options.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GF600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. A filter removes water and particulate only; it does not regulate pressure or add lubrication.
AirTAC does not publish a single rated-flow figure for the GF60020MJW; flow performance is given as pressure-drop curves across the size, port and element. Send us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet curves on request.
Manual drainage means collected condensate stays in the bowl until an operator opens the drain valve, so this version suits installations that are visited daily, such as a service garage or workshop drop. If the filter sits in an inaccessible spot, choose the automatic-drain code (A) or the differential-pressure default instead of the M code.
