The AirTAC SAIJ100X250-30-S is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder featuring a rear-mounted stroke adjuster. It provides a 220 to 250 mm usable travel window, allowing you to dial back the nominal 250 mm stroke by up to 30 mm during commissioning without adding external stops. It delivers 5497 N of push force at 0.7 MPa.

This variant uses a SUS304 stainless steel rod for corrosion resistance and includes a magnet for CMSE and DMSE sensors. The extruded aluminum barrel provides sensor grooves on both sides. The rear adjuster functions strictly as a travel stop for end-position tuning, not a lock, so live air is required to hold the load.

Is the Airtac SAIJ100 Adjustable Cylinder SAIJ100BX250-30S the Right Cylinder?

Choose this 100 mm bore when an 80 mm bore (3518 N push at 0.5 MPa) lacks the necessary thrust, but a 125 mm bore is oversized. The 30 mm adjustment window is ideal for product changeovers or fine-tuning the retract end-position on the fly. For fixed travel without a stopper, use the standard SAI cylinder instead.

When replacing an ISO 15552 cylinder, match the 100 mm bore, 250 mm stroke, 30 mm adjustment, PT tapered ports, and the -S magnet. The 250 mm stroke is under the 1500 mm maximum, but for any stroke of 300 mm or more, an external guide is recommended to manage side loads. The SAIJ mounting set includes Basic, FA, LB, TC, FTC, TCM1, and TCM2, omitting FB, CA, CB, and CR. If position holding without air pressure is needed, use a SAIL or BSAI cylinder instead.
