About the Airtac SAIJ100 Adjustable Cylinder SAIJ100X600-75

The AirTAC SAIJ100X600-75 is a double-acting ISO 15552 profile cylinder featuring a rear-mounted stroke adjuster. It provides a 525-600 mm usable travel window, letting you trim the effective stroke by up to 75 mm during commissioning without adding external stops. In the 100 mm bore class, it delivers 3927 N of push force and 3681 N of pull force at 0.5 MPa. The extruded aluminum barrel includes sensor grooves on both sides for flexible mounting of CMSE reed and DMSE electronic switches.

This model uses a PT tapered G1/2 port and a 25 mm carbon steel rod with an M20x1.5 thread. The rear adjuster acts purely as a mechanical stop to fine-tune the end position; it does not lock or hold the load without live air. For position holding, consider the SAIL or BSAI series. SAIJ supports a reduced mounting set of Basic, FA, LB, TC, FTC, TCM1, and TCM2, omitting FB and CA options.

Machine Setup

Trim the effective stroke during commissioning of large presses to prevent over-travel, avoiding the need to bolt on external mechanical stops.

Is the Airtac SAIJ100 Adjustable Cylinder SAIJ100X600-75 the Right Cylinder?

Choose this 100 mm bore when a 63 mm cylinder (1559 N push at 0.5 MPa) lacks the thrust for heavier fixtures, but an 80 mm bore (2513 N push) is still too small. The 75 mm adjustment range is ideal for machinery requiring frequent product changeovers, allowing variable end-stops without swapping the cylinder. Since the stroke is 600 mm, the long unsupported travel requires an external guide to prevent side-loading damage to the rod and seals. To match an ISO 15552 replacement, specify the 100 mm bore, 600 mm stroke, 75 mm adjust, PT G1/2 port, required mounting, and no magnet.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Required force at your working pressure
  • ✓ Stroke and mounting space
  • ✓ Port/thread type (PT/NPT/G)
  • ✓ Magnet (-S) for sensors?
  • ✓ Side load — consider a guided cylinder

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Use clean air filtered to 40µm or finer.
  • check Keep within 0.15 – 1.0 MPa operating pressure.
  • check Avoid side load on the piston rod.
  • check Adjust end cushion screws for smooth stops.
  • check Use correct mounting accessory (FA/FB/CA/CB/LB/TC).
  • check Installation by qualified personnel per AirTAC docs.

Airtac SAIJ100 Adjustable Cylinder SAIJ100X600-75 FAQ

At 0.5 MPa operating pressure, this 100 mm bore cylinder provides 3927 N of push force and 3681 N of pull force. At 0.9 MPa, the push force increases to 7068 N.

The rear adjuster screw lets you shorten the 600 mm nominal stroke by up to 75 mm, creating a 525-600 mm usable travel window. It acts as a mechanical stop for end-position tuning and does not hold the load without live air pressure.
